Search terms
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. Marion County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy applies to the query it receives.
Messages
An email or contact submission may be retained long enough to answer and manage the exchange. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal order.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine logs and analytics may record technical information when a page loads. That information can include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device class and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring page or site, when supplied; and
- request dates and timestamps.
Cookies
Cookies and similar storage help measure use and support site features. A browser can block or delete them. Some functions or preferences may work differently when cookies are disabled.

Links lead to Marion County release records, sheriff and corrections pages, court portals, federal locators, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's own privacy notice and practices control. Marion County Released Inmates does not operate those systems.
Advertising companies may use their own cookies or identifiers to measure activity across sites and select ads. That tracking occurs through their services, not through a user profile sold by this site.

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may still be handled by:
- search partners that process a submitted query;

- law enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal demand.
Security Has Practical Limits
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information in the site's control. No internet-connected service, transmission, or storage method can be promised as fully secure. This notice does not offer a breach-proof guarantee.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Information Choices
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a user may:
- ask for a copy of personal data held by the site;
- request correction of inaccurate personal data;
- seek deletion of personal data; and
- object to or opt out of certain processing.
